ÉcoRessources Carbone and Point Carbon, the world's leading information provider on carbon markets, join forces again to offer a comprehensive two-day course on carbon markets and offset project development in Vancouver on May 11-12.

The course targets a variety of clients, including environmental decision-makers, project developers, financial institutions and advisors, organizations looking at opportunities in the validation/verification marketplace, and corporations impacted by GHG regulations and interested in getting up to speed with carbon market regulations and offsets. Day 1 of the course provides an overview of developments in current regional North American carbon markets, a summary of global carbon regulatory and voluntary markets carbon, and an update on carbon prices and volume data. An overview of the international climate change negotiation process is also presented. Day 2 looks at opportunities for offset project developers that are emerging with the development of cap-and-trade regulations in North America and with voluntary markets such as the Climate Action Reserve (CAR) and the Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS).
