BC's Pacific Carbon Trust releases offset guidance document based on ÉcoRessources's work
The Pacific Carbon Trust (PCT) - a British Columbia Crown corporation with a mandate to deliver quality BC-based greenhouse gas offsets to help clients meet their carbon reduction goals and to support growth of this industry in BC - has released a guidance document geared towards offset project developers explaining the different technical steps required to successfully submit offset project proposals to the Pacific Carbon Trust. The document, entitled "PCT Guidance Document v 1.0", provides an overview of the PCT purchasing process and guidance on baseline selection, additionality demonstration, ex-ante quantification and monitoring of GHG emissions, as well as on risk mitigation.
