Senior Analyst

Since joining ÉcoResources in 2008, Caroline de Vit focuses on the international climate change negotiations, especially on post-2012 issues and their implications for various sectors. She also provides support in the assessment of GHG programs and regulatory developments in North America. She specializes in policy analysis on options to integrate the agriculture and forestry sectors in a post-2012 climate change regime; strategic advisory within the climate change international negotiations and domestic climate change policy design processes; and development of training sessions for project developers.

Prior to joining EcoRessources, Ms. de Vit developed her expertise in law and policy analysis of environmental issues, focusing on both domestic and international legislation as it relates to such areas as climate change, biodiversity protection (at Ecojustice, formerly the Sierra Legal Defence Fund in Vancouver) and recycling (at the Canadian Institute for Environmental Law and Policy in Toronto).

Caroline de Vit has two Master’s degrees in Law: one in International and Comparative Environmental/Energy Law from the University of Limoges and one in International Relations and Public Policy from Lyon III. She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from the University Lyon III in France. She speaks French and English.
