Tania Zamora Ramos has seven years of experience advising CDM and environmental projects in Peru. She has provided technical support in several international cooperation projects to strengthen CDM capacities. She joined ÉcoRessources in December 2008 as Senior Analyst in the Climate Change team.

She specializes in CDM and voluntary carbon projects in renewable energy, energy efficiency, fuel switch and biomass, as well as Programmatic CDM, GHG corporate inventories, management strategies and offsetting, and in CDM stakeholder consultation.

Before joining ÉcoRessources, Tania Zamora worked as Environmental & CDM Specialist (2002-2006) and CDM Project Manager (2007-2008) at the National Environmental Fund (FONAM) in Peru. One of her main tasks was the technical supervision of the “Capacity Building for CDM or CD4CDM” project supported by UNEP RISO. She was also involved in a technical cooperation project sponsored by JICA to strengthen CDMs in Peru. Moreover, she participated in the implementation of a project to consolidate the CDM in Peru, supported by Carbon Finance Assist of the World Bank.

During those years, Ms. Zamora developed her expertise by participating in international carbon fairs and international workshops and conferences. She was appointed Peru’s Negotiator at the Conference of the Parties (COP) of the United Nations Framework of Climate Change (UNFCCC) in 2005 and again in 2006.

Tania Zamora has an Environmental Engineer Diploma from the Universidad Nacional Agraria ‘’La Molina’’ in Lima, Peru. She is currently completing a Master’s degree in Soil Science at the same university. She obtained a fellowship to attend the international course on Capacity Building for CDM Projects sponsored by JICA and imparted by ICETT (Yokkaichi Japan). She also won a fellowship to attend the International Course of Renewable Energy Management imparted by CIEMAT (Madrid Spain). Furthermore, she is specialized in GHG corporative inventories and carbon footprints. She is fluent in both Spanish and English.
