Jorge Barrigh has 15 years experience in the energy, environment and finance space. He is now Senior Managing Partner and Founder of SENGEN Investments S.A., an environmental investments & advisory firm based in Panama. In this capacity, Mr. Barrigh works as Senior Advisor to a US based Private Equity Fund currently focused on Renewable Energy Investments in Latin America and the Caribbean and a European based global leader in Carbon Asset Management.

Mr. Barrigh has extensive professional experience on the carbon market. He was Managing Director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Natsource LLC, where he led their carbon transaction origination and investment activities throughout the region. Prior to his appointment by Natsource, Mr. Barrigh led the Corporación Andina de Fomento’s (CAF) Latin American Carbon Program.

Prior to joining CAF, Mr. Barrigh held leadership positions in Business Development with Ballard Power Systems, a Fuel Cell development company based in Vancouver, BC; and Project Management and Financial Analysis positions with GPU International Corporation (now FirstEnergy), a US based electric utility. Mr. Barrigh holds a BS in Economics and an MBA in Finance.

Mr. Barrigh brings to the advisory committee his hands-on experience with CDM project developers in Latin America and his in-depth knowledge of the carbon market worldwide. Mr. Barrigh's contribution to the advisory board includes his experience in the development and financing of sustainable development projects, mainly in the energy sector.
