Mathieu Dumas joined ÉcoRessources in 2011 and holds the position of project manager. He is a technical expert in emission reduction project implementation and specializes in the anaerobic digestion and renewable energy sectors. He also has broad experience in the industrial gas (HFC, N2O) and landfill gas sectors. During the last 5 years, he has worked on various GHG reduction projects of the CDM and VCS, mostly in México, Central America and the Caribbean.

Mathieu successfully validated, registered and verified small and large-scale projects in México, Panama, Honduras and Guatemala. He was also actively involved in the commissioning, operation and monitoring of the first CDM anaerobic digestion projects in México and Central America, mainly in the sectors of livestock manure management, palm oil mill effluent (POME) and sugar mills. His recent experience also includes the development of a Project Idea Note on a Programme of Activities (PoA) consisting in the deployment of biodigesters in the agricultural and agri-food sector in México. He was also a technical reviewer of the PoA launched by the Mexican National Housing Commission (CONAVI) for sustainable housing and participated in the design and writing of the new methodology AMS-III.AE for energy efficiency measures in new residential buildings.

Mathieu carried out numerous assignments for major clients, including PEMEX (Mexican National Oil Company), the CFE (Mexican National Commission of Electricity), KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau, a German government-owned development bank), the CONAVI (Mexican National Housing Commission), Cargill, the City of México as well as several municipalities and private companies in Central America. Moreover, he worked with several technology providers, project developers, banks, NGOs, Designed National Authorities (DNAs), the UNFCCC methodology panel and several governmental entities in Latin America.

Mathieu graduated from Laval University in Québec City, Canada, as a chemical engineer (B.Eng.). He is fluent in French (mother tongue), Spanish and English.
