Luis Salgado has been involved in carbon markets and climate change policy for more than ten years, being part of the ÉcoRessources team since 2006 and acting as project manager for the Latina American region since 2007. Since he joined the team, Luis Salgado has being developing the company’s Clean Development Mechanisms and voluntary carbon market activities, originating and developing projects in Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Panama, and Peru providing technical and financial expertise in several industrial sectors, as well as in forestry and mining. He specializes in:

• Policy analysis and advisory on REDD and other land use issues

Philippe Crête holds five years of experience in carbon markets and climate change policy and has been acting as project manager for ÉcoRessources Carbone since 2007. Since joining the team, Philippe Crête has spearheaded the company’s origination and development activities in the North American voluntary carbon market, having provided technical GHG expertise for several industrial sectors, including PDD writing, GHG quantification, feasibility analysis and GHG inventories. Derek De Biasio, ÉcoRessources’ Vancouver-based business representative, has 20 years of management advisory experience and has completed more than 140 consulting assignments. He has a rare combination of extensive management consulting expertise and experience with GHG emissions regulation and offset projects, having worked in the GHG and sustainable development areas for almost a decade. He specializes in:

• Origination and development of North American offset projects across sectors including forestry, waste management, fuel switching and energy efficiency
• GHG emissions, allowances, and offsets management strategies
• Policy and economics analysis on various GHG management issues

Stephen Seres is an economist who has been working exclusively on climate change policy issues since 2001.  As an independent consultant, Stephen worked with the public and private sectors on files mainly revolving around the Kyoto mechanisms, offsets, and the monitoring and verification of greenhouse gas emissions. He specializes in:

• The Clean Development Mechanism and Joint implementation
• GHG quantification and verification methods
• Technology transfer

Mathieu Dumas joined ÉcoRessources in 2011 and holds the position of project manager. His area of expertise is in the technical work related to the implementation of GHG reduction projects, mainly under the VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) and the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism). The implementation phase involves writing the project documentation, going through the third party audit process (validation), as well as the monitoring and verification processes. Mathieu specializes in the following sectors:

Sergio Jauregui is a CDM Expert in methodologies and the regulatory framework, as well as in carbon markets in general. He has more than 10 years of work in the Kyoto Protocol Mechanisms and the carbon market. His areas of expertise include:

• Climate change negotiations
• Carbon Finance

Gianluca Merlo joined the ÉcoRessources team in 2011 as project manager for Latin America. He is a mechanical engineer with 18 years of experience in the fields of energy, petroleum, and water treatment. Since 2005, his interests have been especially dedicated to the development of emission reduction projects and climate change. He specializes in:

• Identification, development, analysis, implementation and monitoring of carbon emissions reduction projects for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) markets, particularly for “Gold Standard” registry
• Development of Programmatic Activities for CDM
• Project development and assessment with a special focus on renewable energies (biogas, solar water heating, eolic, hydraulic, biomass, waste to energy programs)

Gabriella Torres is currently a Finance and Climate Change Analyst within ÉcoRessources, having joined the company at the beginning of 2010. She previously worked as a financial analyst and portfolio manager within the Peruvian Capital Markets as part of an investments team, and holds a Master’s Degree in Environment and Development, focusing on Environmental Economics. She currently focuses on:

Isabel Malaga is a senior analyst in climate change at ÉcoRessources. Before joining the team in June 2011, she gained more than 5 years of experience in developing carbon market projects in Latin America for private and government institutions. She specializes in:

• Development of corporate GHG inventories, management and mitigation strategies

Charles Girardet joined ÉcoRessources as an intern in 2011 and now holds the position of climate change analyst. He has a chemical engineering background and several work experiences dealing with environmental issues. As part of the ÉcoRessources team, he collaborates in:

• Writing a bimonthly newsletter about the carbon market and CDM for the Energy and Environment Institute of the Francophonie (IEPF)

Alfredo Uriarte is doing a six-month internship at ÉcoRessources Carbone. He collaborates in the execution of different greenhouse gas (GHG) quantification mandates and actively participates in the development of Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project design documents in Latin America.  His principal responsibility is to bring support to project managers by:
