Jean Nolet is a co-founder of ÉcoRessources Carbone. Jean Nolet has 10 years of practical and research experience on carbon markets and climate change issues and projects, making him one of the most experienced expert on the topic in Canada. His key areas of expertise include:

Jorge Barrigh has 15 years experience in the energy, environment and finance space. A senior advisor at ÉcoRessources, he is also a Senior Managing Partner and Founder of SENGEN Investments S.A., an environmental investments & advisory firm based in Panama. His expertise encompasses the following fields:

• Sustainable projects development and financing, notably in the energy sector

• Carbon asset management
• Project management and financial analyses

Luis Salgado has been involved in carbon markets and climate change policy for more than ten years, being part of the ÉcoRessources team since 2006 and acting as project manager for the Latina American region since 2007. Since he joined the team, Luis Salgado has being developing the company’s Clean Development Mechanisms and voluntary carbon market activities, originating and developing projects in Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Panama, and Peru providing technical and financial expertise in several industrial sectors, as well as in forestry and mining. He specializes in:

• Origination and development of CDM and VER projects
• Market development and project portfolio management in Latin America
• Policy analysis and advisory on REDD and other land use issues
• Development of GHG emissions management strategies and analysis of GHG inventories

Mathieu Dumas joined ÉcoRessources in 2011 and holds the position of project manager. His area of expertise is in the technical work related to the implementation of GHG reduction projects, mainly under the VCS (Verified Carbon Standard) and the CDM (Clean Development Mechanism). The implementation phase involves writing the project documentation, going through the third party audit process (validation), as well as the monitoring and verification processes. Mathieu specializes in the following sectors:

• Anaerobic digestion and renewable energy
• Industrial gas (HFC, N2O)
• Programmatic CDM
• Methodological work (CDM & VCS)

Gianluca Merlo joined the ÉcoRessources team in 2011 as project manager for Latin America. He is a mechanical engineer with 18 years of experience in the fields of energy, petroleum, and water treatment. Since 2005, his interests have been especially dedicated to the development of emission reduction projects and climate change. He specializes in:

• Identification, development, analysis, implementation and monitoring of carbon emissions reduction projects for the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) markets, particularly for “Gold Standard” registry
• Development of Programmatic Activities for CDM
• Project development and assessment with a special focus on renewable energies (biogas, solar water heating, eolic, hydraulic, biomass, waste to energy programs)

Marie-Claude Bourgie has been involved in the carbon credit market for many years. She notably collaborated on the development of CDM projects in Africa. In this context, she worked on the validation and the implementation of afforestation and fuel switch projects. Marie-Claude joined the ÉcoRessources team  as a project manager in 2012. Marie-Claude holds a Master's degree in Environment from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver and an MBA in Finance from Concordia University in Montreal.

She specializes in:

• CDM project validation, implementation and management;
• Identification and development of forest-related carbon credit projects (A/R, REDD);
• Climate finance.

Isabel Malaga is a senior analyst in climate change at ÉcoRessources. Before joining the team in June 2011, she gained more than 5 years of experience in developing carbon market projects in Latin America for private and government institutions. She specializes in:

• Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) project development
• Voluntary carbon market development
• Development of corporate GHG inventories, management and mitigation strategies

Charles Girardet joined ÉcoRessources as an intern in 2011 and now holds the position of climate change analyst. He has a chemical engineering background and several work experiences dealing with environmental issues. As part of the ÉcoRessources team, he collaborates in:

• Writing a bimonthly newsletter about the carbon market and CDM for the Energy and Environment Institute of the Francophonie (IEPF)
• Elaborating Project Description Document for carbon offset projects
• GHG accounting

Adolfo Mejía is an industrial engineer and currently works as a climate change analyst for ÉcoRessources in Latin America, with main focus in Nicaragua. Mr. Mejia has 2 years of experience in registration processes of renewable energy projects in the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and voluntary markets.

His experience as a consultant in biogas and eco-efficiency projects gives him the tools necessary for a good understanding of the projects, which enhances the planning, direction and execution phases of carbon-related activities in which he is involved.

Rodrigo Castro joined ÉcoRessources in June 2012 and holds the position of finance and climate change analyst. He previously worked as a transfer pricing analyst at Ernst & Young Peru, where he was in charge of the portfolio of clients in the mining industry. He currently focuses on:

• Environmental valuation;
• Development of offset projects;
• Financial analysis;
• CDM Project Design Documents;
• GHG inventories.

Olga del Pozo joined the ÉcoRessources team in June 2010. She works as an administrative assistant for our office in Lima, Peru and assumes the following responsibilities:
