Skander ben abdallah, Climate change project manager
Skander Ben-Abdallah is currently the Project Manager in the Climate change division of ÉcoRessources. His areas of expertise include sustainable development issues, energy management, and environment protection. Over the past 10 years, Skander has occupied various academic and professional positions related to environmental and natural resources management. He specialized in energy efficiency, renewable energy, UN-Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), Kyoto Protocol, GHG inventory, the assessment of GHG mitigation options and Economic Cost-Benefit Analysis.
Skander was the Deputy-president of the working group II of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) from 1997 to 2002. He is currently a member of the UNFCCC Roster of Experts, responsible for the review of Annex I countries GHG inventories. Notably, Skander has produced several studies related to CDM including Project Design Documents in developing countries for the Canadian Climate Change Office.
Skander holds a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (Energy and Environment) from Tunis National Engineering School (ENIT) and a PhD in Economics of Natural Resources and the Environment from the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM).
