Sébastien Guérard , Energy research assistant

Sébastien Guérard is a chemical engineer who started working at EcoRessources in October 2009. During his master degree, he developed a new piece of equipment for the company Rio-Tinto Alcan. A patent application has been filed for his invention. Sebastien has worked for many years in solid-liquid separation, and he also has some experience in wastewater treatment. Moreover, he has acquired a good expertise in computational fluid dynamics. Finally, he has been hired a few times as a programmer and he taught at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) for a semester.

Sebastien holds a BA in chemical engineering and a master degree in engineering at UQAC. His academic and athletic performances have earned him 11 scholarships, including the Rio-Tinto Alcan scholarship and the NSERC industrial scholarship. Sebastien is fluent in both French and English.
