Natalie lambert, Energy senior analyst

Since joining ÉcoRessources, Natalie Lambert (Energy Senior Analyst) has worked on projects for both the federal and provincial governments in Canada. She has developed particular expertise in strategies of energy efficiency as well as the economics of greenhouse gas and other emissions related to energy use, notably in the transportation sector. Emerging energy technologies and the production and distribution of conventional fuels and biofuels are also of particular interest.

Before joining ÉcoRessources, Natalie was involved in the mining industry as a researcher. At Rio Tinto Iron and Titanium (QIT) in Sorel, Quebec, she worked on numerous projects related to the treatment of ilmenite feedstocks, in particular the removal and safe disposal of radioactive contaminants. These investigations provided her with a unique perspective on the nuclear energy industry. While at QIT, she published 13 internal reports as well as one academic paper. She also worked in research and development at Borax Europe in Guildford, United Kingdom. The economic concerns of the mining industry with regards to energy consumption were an important element of her work in this sector.

Natalie holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from University College London in the United Kingdom as well as a B.Sc. in Chemistry from Concordia University in Montreal. During her postgraduate studies she published three academic papers and presented her work at nine conferences in five countries.  She has won numerous awards, including a full three-year studentship from the Research Training Network of the European Union as well as the Ramsey Medal and the Coulson Prize for her research.

Natalie is fluent in written and spoken English and French.
